Passport and Visa in Mauritius |

The prerequisite for entering Mauritius is a valid passport. The tourists are entitled to stay for a maximum period of 3 months provided they have a valid passport and visa, return ticket and ample money. A European individual shall have to possess a visa if he/ she stay in Mauritius for more than 3 months. The visas are issued by the Government of Mauritius to the individual without any cost. The longevity of the visa is for 3 months.

The following are the documents to be submitted before obtaining the visa:
2 passport size photographs
Photocopy of birth certificate
Photocopy of return tickets
Photocopy of return tickets
Self addressed envelope with stamps
Photocopy of passport or visa
The visitors have to submit evidences about their fund status. They shall have to inform about the place where they will be residing in Mauritius. The tourists visiting from regions which are suffering from any epidemic or malady shall have to produce the certificate of vaccination. |
